Amber's passion for theatre began when she was a freshman in highschool. She was taking a chorus class through her highschool and was persuaded by her teacher to try out for the musical that year (which was Annie). She was cast in the production and though this experience built self confidence and found a love for Theatre. Thought the rest of her time in highschool she was in every production possible and took theatre as an elective. Once she graduated from High School she enrolled in classes at my community college into the Business Administration program which consisted of classes related to economics and business. This lead me to my interest in business however my passion for theatre did not subside and once she transferred to James Madison University she decided to major in Management with a Concentration in Human resources and Minor in Communications. This minor in communication is the way that she has incorporated the public speaking skills she gained from theatre into her degree. As the Financial Director of Unified theatre Company she is able to combine these two passions by being in a theatrical setting while using business skills she has gained and continue to gain to help keep track of company accounts.
Alex has been involved in theater since the beginning of her high school career. She enjoys tech work like wardrobe, makeup, and stage management, but acting is her main passion. She has participated in many shows with Heritage High School such as Les Mis, Beauty and the Beast, and Ragtime. She is excited to be working with UTC and looking forward to organizing fun and meaningful events for the theater community!
